Hold off on the Closeup, Mr. Demille: According to Chelsea, Bill Clinton is Not Quite Ready
Former Commander-in-Chief of the United States Armed Forces means nothing when you graduate to Father of the Bride… or at least that’s the way it would seem for Bill Clinton and his daughter, Chelsea.
Set to wed her childhood friend, Marc Mezvinsky, this summer, Chelsea has been a planning machine, and according to People.com, while she does a great job to include everyone in the decision making process, there are some verdicts ruled on solely by her. My personal favorite??: Telling her dad he needed to look good to walk her down the aisle – hehe!
Forget the manic bride who feels everyone around her look should look a little more frumpy, in order to boost her beauty; this bride-to-be wants her family and friends to be at the best. While recounting the story, Bill said, “I said, ‘What’s your definition of [of looking good]?’ And she said, ‘Oh, about 15 pounds.’” (People.com)
Hahaha! Love it! Once the head of all state and governmental affairs, Bill Clinton has never been a stranger to the power of women (cough, cough – Hilary – cough, cough), but you gotta love how all men, even the most lucrative and influential ones, can get a little more than weak in the knees at the thought of giving their daughters away. Clinton continued,
I just hope I can keep it together [until] I walk her down the aisle and do the handoff. You know it proves you’ve done what you’re supposed to do, but it doesn’t make it any easier. (People.com)
Aww, tear :) I believe Gary Allen said it best, “When tough, little boys grow up to be dads, they turn into big babies again.”
